When it comes to who is the most beautiful woman in the world, Angelina Jolie reigns supreme. Or at least this is what readers of Vanity Fair magazine have decided. The Wanted star, 33, was by far the most popular celebrity, earning an impressive 58 per cent of the votes in a recent online poll conducted by the magazine.

The mom-of-six had to compete with a Queen, a First Lady and at least two women linked to Leonardo DiCaprio. And the race wasn’t even close. Out of the 19 gorgeous women on the list, the newlywed Brazilian beauty, Gisele Bündchen, came in a distant second place, with only 9 per cent of the votes.

Actress Keira Knightley will appear in a shocking television public service advertisement for the UK nonprofit organization Women’s Aid. In the commercial, she is shown being brutally beaten by an abusive fictional boyfriend. The advert, called “Cut”, was launched online and it will also be shown on television and in cinemas beginning April 6 to raise awareness for domestic violence issues.

Oscar-nominated actress Anne Hathaway is set to portray the legendary Judy Garland on both the screen and stage adaptations of Gerald Clarke’s 2001 biography Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland. The announcement was made early this week by Weinstein Co. chairman Harvey Weinstein, who said that they’ve grabbed both film and stage rights. However, no other details concerning the project have been released.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has confirmed that she will star as a lead on the CW’s new version of Melrose Place this fall. This will be her first time back on television series since landing her breakthrough role on 7th Heaven seven years ago.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the cast of Melrose Place and I look forward to being a part of its new generation of residents,” Simpson-Wentz said in a statement.
