Emma Watson In Talks To Star In Darren Aronofsky’s Biblical Epic ‘Noah’

Emma Watson is just getting hotter and hotter, isn’t she? The girl is so popular right now, and it is well deserved. Just last week we got to see the trailer for Emma’s new movie, The Perks Of Being A Wallflower and today we learn that Emma is in talks to star in new epic film, Noah, which stars Russell Crowe as the titular ark builder. Emma is in discussions to play Ila, a young woman who develops a close relationship with Noah’s son, Shem. Do you think this is good casting? Read on for more info about this EPIC movie.

Darren Aronofsky’s biblical movie, his follow-up to Black Swan, tells the famous Noah story of the great world-ending flood. Russell Crowe will be playing Noah, and Logan Lerman and Douglas Booth will be his sons. There have been rumors going around that Jennifer Connelly might not be taking on the role of Noah’s wife, but this isn’t confirmed yet.

Noah is only set for a spring 2014 release, which gives them plenty of time to finalize the cast and pull together what is expected to be one giant proportion, big-budget movie. Black Swan was a huge success for Aronofsky, but obviously, this one is a totally different kettle of fish.

I’m pretty keen to follow this one if only because it is going to be one massive epic. I’m almost imagining 2014′s Titanic: both massive boats, both flooding water scenes…there are a lot of similarities. It may not be everyone’s style of movie, but it’s bound to be BIG, and I’m proud of Emma for getting in the running. I just hope that it is done subtly and with some nuances that highlight the kind of epic we want and expect from 2014. I know we have a while to go still but are you excited about this upcoming movie?
