Last December we learned that longtime couple Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves got themselves engaged to be married on Xmas day. Today we are hearing that the couple are planning to wed in secret this weekend in Texas in front of an intimate group of family and friends. According to E! News, nondisclosure agreements have been flying around all the Top Secret wedding planning that has been hastily put together but, alas, the cat is out of the bag. It sounds like Matthew and Camila will be saying their I Dos in the next couple of days.

Matthew McConaughey and longtime love Camila Alves are taking the plunge. Sources exclusively tell E! News that the two plan to tie the knot in a “weekend affair” in the Magic Mike star’s home state of Texas. Alves was to be honored today by the Step Up Women’s Network at a posh Beverly Hills luncheon but instead she will deliver her remarks via video, allowing her to be close to home for the wedding preparations. The private couple apparently has invited just two dozen close friends and family members for what promises to be a cozy celebration. We’re told that workers involved with the top-secret nuptials have had to sign nondisclosure agreements. A rep for the couple could not be reached for comment.

Awww, this is great news. I mean, I get why they were trying to keep the news secret but it’s really hard to keep a secret like this in Hollywood. As you may know, Matthew and Camila have been dating since 2006. Since they first got together romantically, they’ve given birth to two children — Levi Alves and Vida Alves. Clearly, the couple are ready to take the next step and make their relationship official. I wish them all the best and hope their wedding goes off without a hitch. I’m sure we’ll be hearing soon about the couple’s Texan nuptials. Stay tuned …
